1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how testersundo.in ("Platform," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and other applicable Indian privacy laws.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide: display name, phone number, email address (via Google sign-in), skills, district/pincode, availability window, experience line, rate hint, and company name.

Automatically collected: device hash for rate limiting, IP address for Cloudflare analytics, browser type, usage analytics, and page views.

We do NOT collect: Aadhaar, PAN, bank details, biometric data, precise GPS location (only on-demand, not stored), browsing history, or cross-site data.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Operate the Platform: display posts, enable discovery, show ratings.
• Match Testers with Clients based on skills and location.
• Enable WhatsApp contact via deep links.
• Display ratings and verification badges.
• Detect spam, prevent abuse, and enforce Terms of Service.
• Improve the product through aggregate analytics.

We do NOT use your data for: advertising, selling to third parties, behavioral profiling, or cross-site tracking.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share data with:

• Other users: display name, skills, district, ratings — for platform functionality.
• Firebase (Google): hosting and database infrastructure.
• Cloudflare: CDN, security, and analytics.
• OLA Maps / OSM: pincode for geocoding.
• WhatsApp (Meta): phone number via deep link for communication.

We do not share with advertisers, data brokers, employers, insurance companies, or marketing companies.

5. Data Storage & Security

Data is stored in Firebase Realtime DB (Google Cloud) and served via Cloudflare Pages. Security measures include TLS 1.3, Firebase Authentication, Firebase Security Rules, rate limiting, spam filtering, and community flags.

In case of a data breach, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India within 72 hours and affected users if the risk is high.

6. Data Retention

• Posts: 24 hours (auto-expire)
• User profile: until deletion request (processed within 30 days)
• Ratings: indefinite, anonymized after account deletion
• Analytics: 90 days
• Device hash: 30 days
• IP logs: 30 days

7. Your Rights

Under DPDPA, you have the right to information, access, correction, erasure, grievance redressal, and nomination. To exercise these rights, email privacy@testersundo.in.

8. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication (Firebase) and preferences (localStorage). Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookie-free. We do not use advertising, social media, or third-party tracking cookies. We respect Do Not Track browser settings.

9. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children and will delete any discovered minor data immediately.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to countries outside India (e.g., Google Cloud servers). We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be posted prominently and notified via email if provided. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
